Professional Reviews

BH 92
"Equally ripe and attractively layered aromas include those of black fruit confit, spice and a similar note of warm earth are also trimmed in enough wood to remark upon. The finer if less powerful medium-bodied flavors are supported by relatively fine-grained tannins and bright acidity on the youthfully austere and balanced finale that exhibits focused power. This too is unusually good and another villages that is absolutely worth checking out. In a word, terrific."

"The 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin Champs-Chenys offers mostly red berry fruit on the nose, which is maybe just a little smudged compared to Roty’s other Village Crus at the moment. The palate is medium-bodied with a fresh entry and a fine bead of acidity. The precise, chalky-textured finish compensates for the aromatics. I am sure the nose will gain more clarity during the remainder of élevage." -Vinous

"Soaring from the glass with aromas of cherries, licorice, wild berries and sweet soil tones, the 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin Champs-Chenys Vieilles Vignes is medium to full-bodied, rich and velvety, with an especially seamless, integrated profile. Framed by powdery tannins and mouthwatering acids, it's a real success. " -Robert Parker

Burgundy has long been the world's most famous wine region. But, underneath all the prestige, this region can be hard to get to know.

While Burgundy offers many great trophies from top producers in well-known villages like Vosne Romanee and Puligny Montrachet, it also offers excellent values to anyone willing to explore beyond the famous names. Our collection– one of the largest in the U.S. – has plenty of both!

From the very basics of Burgundy's regions and wines to the specific terroirs of individual single vineyards--
