He makes only two cuvées from that parcel, and this is the one that carries the domaine's name. Dittière, nicknamed \"TonTon,\" grew up in Saumur, where his parents grew roses. After studying oenology he learned his craft from Antoine Foucault, Thierry Germain, Marc Tempé and Gerard Gauby, then came home in 2010 to start La Porte Saint Jean. Like those mentors, he makes pure, natural wines, and within a few years he had become one of the region's most talented vignerons.
