Lorenzo Accomasso (who passed away on August 8, 2025, after his sister Elena passed away in 2016) was the La Morra hermit who quietly turned out some of the longest-lived, most traditional Barolos of the modern era from a tiny estate on Rocche dell'Annunziata. Vigna Rocchette is his personal cru-within-a-cru, a parcel of clay and limestone within the famed Rocche, vinified with spontaneous fermentations and long macerations, then aged for years in large old botti. The Riserva sees five-plus years of cask. 2013 was a classical, structured vintage.
