Brothers Claude and Herve Muzard have farmed here and in Santenay since taking over from their father in 1995, dropping herbicides, converting to organics in 2005 and earning biodynamic certification in 2011; the wines are made with native yeasts in wooden tanks and bottled without fining or filtration. Their 2024 comes from parcels around Dezize and Sampigny. It was a brutally difficult growing season across Burgundy, wet and mildew-ridden, and yields were tiny, but the reds that survived are the essence of cool-climate Pinot Noir: perfumed, modest in alcohol, and beautifully sappy.
