{"product_id":"luigi-oddero-barolo-vigna-rionda-2010","title":"Luigi Oddero, Barolo Vigna Rionda, 2010","description":"Alessandro Masnaghetti wrote the standard reference on Barolo's crus, and he says Vignarionda marks its wine so strongly that it's a Barolo of Vignarionda even more than a Barolo of Serralunga. This is Luigi Oddero's bottling from that famous slope. The name comes from \"rotonda,\" meaning round, after the curve of the hillside: a sun-soaked amphitheatre of vines where the Oddero parcel faces south at about 350 meters, on grey-blue marl threaded with reddish sandy layers. The whole cru covers just over 10 hectares, and only a few producers bottle a Barolo from it. The 2010 comes from the early years of Figli Luigi Oddero, the estate Luigi set up when he and his brother Giacomo split the family holdings in 2006. Luigi kept Serralunga, Castiglione Falletto and La Morra vineyards that had been put together patiently over decades, not bought in the land boom. The house is traditional (spontaneous fermentations, no new oak), and it always releases Vignarionda years after its classic Barolo because the wine's structure needs the time. For anyone who loves the power of Serralunga, it doesn't get much closer to the source.","brand":"Private","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":50524980150329,"sku":"NYC-[CNSN]-TTSUMMER0826-092226-146-15","price":169.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0125\/1518\/0601\/files\/Luigi-Oddero-Barolo-Vigna-Rionda-2010-Red-Wine-Flatiron-Wines-Spirits-New-York.jpg?v=1790154601","url":"https:\/\/nyc.flatiron-wines.com\/products\/luigi-oddero-barolo-vigna-rionda-2010","provider":"Flatiron Wines \u0026 Spirits NYC","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
