The parcel belongs to the Tawse family and is farmed biodynamically; in 2023 the fruit was completely destemmed and the wine finished at 13.5%, a touch riper than the house's other Gevrey cuvées. Pascal Marchand came to Burgundy from Quebec, made his reputation resurrecting Comte Armand's Clos des Épeneaux, converted Domaine de la Vougeraie to biodynamics, and has run this house with Moray Tawse since 2011. What you get is classic Gevrey: dark berry fruit, white pepper and sous-bois on a medium-bodied frame. It should be at its best from around 2027 into the mid-2030s, though a good decant opens it up now.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"T.
