The soils are well-drained limestone and marl.  Pascal Marchand arrived in Burgundy from Quebec, made his name resurrecting Comte Armand's Clos des Épeneaux, converted Domaine de la Vougeraie to biodynamics, and has run this house with Moray Tawse since 2011, farming everything biodynamically.
