Vincent Tricot was born in Anjou and learned the trade at wine school in Beaujolais, under the influence of non-interventionists like Marcel Lapierre; in 2002 he and Marie moved the family to the village of Orcet in the Auvergne, bought four and a half hectares of organic vines, and have made wine without additives, added SO2 or chaptalization ever since. Their bottles were natural wine bar sensations in Paris long before they reached New York. MC is made exactly the way everything else here is made: organic fruit, spontaneous fermentation, no fining, no filtration and nothing added at bottling.
