He famously rarely leaves Friuli, tends every vine obsessively by hand, and makes microscopic quantities, well under 2,000 cases total across all his bottlings. The Bianco is his barrel-fermented field blend, typically built around Friulano with Sauvignon and Chardonnay, raised in French oak (a good chunk of it new) for depth and texture.
