{"product_id":"oddero-barolo-villero-2008","title":"Oddero, Barolo Villero, 2008","description":"In Barolo a few dozen meters can change everything, and Oddero's Villero shows it. This Castiglione Falletto parcel sits right next to the family's Rocche di Castiglione vines, but the soil is very different: tougher and more compact, with more clay and limestone. The family's view is that Villero makes the rounder, juicier wine of the two, warm-toned and dark-fruited, while Rocche runs long, vertical and mineral. A nice bit of trivia: the vineyard once belonged to Ferdinando Vignolo Lutati, an agriculture professor from Castiglione Falletto and one of the first people to analyze the scientific makeup of the local soils. Oddero is about as old-guard as Barolo gets. The family is mentioned in La Morra as far back as the 1700s. Mariacristina Oddero runs it today, with the seventh generation coming up behind her. 2008 was also the year the estate began experimenting with organic farming, starting by dropping chemical weed control. This is a back-vintage bottle of 100% Nebbiolo from a top cru, made by a classic house, and a chance to see where Villero has landed after years in the bottle.","brand":"Private","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":50524949446713,"sku":"NYC-[CNSN]-TTSUMMER0826-092226-36-4","price":149.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0125\/1518\/0601\/files\/Oddero-Barolo-Villero-2008-Red-Wine-Flatiron-Wines-Spirits-New-York.jpg?v=1790154112","url":"https:\/\/nyc.flatiron-wines.com\/products\/oddero-barolo-villero-2008","provider":"Flatiron Wines \u0026 Spirits NYC","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
