{"product_id":"paul-cherrier-sancerre-blanc-2025","title":"Paul Cherrier, Sancerre Blanc, 2025","description":"This is Sancerre from a grower working in the mould of Domaine Vacheron and Claude Riffault: organic farming, and far more hours in the vineyard than his father's generation ever put in. Stéphane Cherrier took over the family vineyards in Verdigny, a tiny village just northwest of the town of Sancerre, and started bottling under the domaine's own label in 2006. For years he sold most of his grapes to larger houses and kept his best fruit for the bottles carrying his own name. His Sancerre Blanc comes from 20- to 40-year-old vines on soils split evenly between caillottes (rocky Kimmeridgian limestone) and terres blanches (Kimmeridgian marl). That's the same ancient seabed that sits under the Chablis Grand Crus. In the cellar he keeps intervention to a minimum. Eric Asimov once called Cherrier's Sancerre a model of straightforward Sancerre, and we agree. Reach for this one when you want the real thing without any fuss.","brand":"Avant Garde (T Elent) [AVG]","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":50621331406905,"sku":"NYC-W-AVG-`AG230111X25`-100126-53","price":37.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0125\/1518\/0601\/files\/IMG-4837.jpg?v=1790970720","url":"https:\/\/nyc.flatiron-wines.com\/products\/paul-cherrier-sancerre-blanc-2025","provider":"Flatiron Wines \u0026 Spirits NYC","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
