{"product_id":"pelle-menetou-salon-morogues-vignes-de-ratier-2025","title":"Pelle, Menetou-Salon Morogues Vignes De Ratier, 2025","description":"This is the Menetou-Salon to reach for when Sauvignon Blanc has to stand up to dinner. Vignes de Ratier is a single 4.5-hectare parcel on one of the sunniest slopes in Morogues, facing southwest. The Pellé family call it broad-shouldered and generous, and the site explains why: afternoon sun builds a broad, generous palate, while the shallow soil, packed with Kimmeridgian marl (the same limestone found in Chablis and Chavignol), keeps it taut and mineral. It's one of three single-vineyard wines the estate makes from its standout Morogues parcels, all picked by hand, which is rare in the region, and all raised in a 13th-century underground cellar. Fourth-generation Paul-Henry Pellé took over in 2007 at 21 and now farms organically and biodynamically, with a flock of Valais Blacknose sheep grazing the vines from the end of harvest until early spring. Even the word Morogues on the label took some winning: after the appellation was created in 1959, Henry Pellé got permission to print the village name, which is unusual in French wine. If you love Sancerre but have never looked one appellation west, this is a serious single-vineyard white that comes with a lot less fanfare.","brand":"Polaner [POL]","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":50854858195001,"sku":"NYC-W-POL-`FPP066`-101926-30","price":36.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0125\/1518\/0601\/files\/IMG-5212.jpg?v=1792697094","url":"https:\/\/nyc.flatiron-wines.com\/products\/pelle-menetou-salon-morogues-vignes-de-ratier-2025","provider":"Flatiron Wines \u0026 Spirits NYC","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
