The Rabajà Riserva isn't made every year (it skipped 2010 and 2012, for example), and they remain among the best values for cellar-worthy wine anywhere. The producer describes 2014 as a medium-bodied, elegant year with intense floral aromas and ripe, balanced tannins. That makes it more about perfume than muscle, which suits a cru known for finesse. The fruit comes from vines owned by nine of the co-op's member families: Antona, Arossa, Casetta, Lembo, Lignana, Manzone, Rocca, Vacca and Vezza. The producer gives it 20 years from the vintage, and the magnum, the format collectors prize for slower aging, makes a proper centerpiece for the table.
