The nose is just salty, spring water, and leads to wax, chalk, crushed sea shells, and slight hay on the palate. It's the texture that takes the cake, though—perfectly balanced, with a forceful acidity that bursts like a fireworks show as it hits your mid-palate, but then finishes in pure finesse, silky, smooth, and salty.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTimorasso is the only white grape Scarpa grows, across two plots in their single estate Poderi Bricchi vineyard. The vines here are already 20–25 years old on clay and limestone in a particularly windy area. 2023 was cooler and wetter than recent vintages, adding to the wine's perfect poise.
