The leaves are falling, Halloween is near, and it's Negroni seasonbut what's this? Mezcal in your Negroni? You already know that Mezcal is an incredible spirit with an amazing capacity for terroir expression, but what's less understood is how to unlock its cocktail potential. Frequently misused and underappreciated behind the bar, Mezcal finds its mixology sweet spot in the florality, bitterness and warming vivacity of the classic Negroni cocktail.

Our pals "The Davids" (David Dong of PM Spirits and David Curiel of Italian spirit specialists Oliver McCrum Spirits), making a return appearance by popular demand, will lead a Mezcal Negroni class to teach you how to use and enjoy this spirit in your home bar, in one of the most adored cocktails of all time. We'll taste both Italian and Mexican spirits and cocktail components. This is an interactive, highly educational and extremely unique seminar for all spirit nerds and cocktail lovers.

Seating is very limited for this exclusive seminar. The cost of this seminar is $30 and a $20 credit at the store will be extended to each guest for a future purchase. We hope you can join us at 6pm on Tuesday, October 8 on our mezzanine for this very special event.

Sulauze's Joyful "Charbonnières" Shows a Lighter Side of Provence

You’d be forgiven for thinking of Domaine de Sulauze as a rosé domaine — after all, it’s in the heartland of French rosé, Provence, and its Pomponette rosé is one of our best-selling pink wines. But this slice of biodynamic paradise churns out stunning red wines, too.

Lioco: Exceptional Chardonnay and Pinot from Cool Climate California

LIOCO appeared at every casual gathering of in-the-know wine nerds and industry folk back in the early days of the New California movement, and after a recent revisit, it’s apparent the wines are even better than we remembered. And while they offer an array of great higher-end bottlings, their introductory wines remain an unbeatable value.
