The vines face south and south-east on marl, limestone, sandstone and shell limestone (Muschelkalk), average around 45 years old and give low yields. Geisberg alone covers just 8.5 hectares of small, steep terraces. At more than two decades old, this 2001 is a chance to taste what all that time does.
