A very special single vineyard of 50-year-old vines with a sandy clay top soil and sand and gravel in the subsoil. Aged for 24 months in 2,000L barrels. Ratschen has darker fruit than the Weinberg and is quite structured with very fine tannins. It has deft balance - a football player who practices ballet for strength.
