"After some swirling in glass, this initially shy Grenache, from one of McLaren Vale's coolest subregions, morphs from wallflower to life of the party, with succulent aromas of blueberry and cranberry with a tickle of something more flower-and-herb-driven. The palate comes with a wonderfully crunchy tang and amaro-like herbs. The oak feels either nonexistent or very well hidden, leaving, instead, room for juicy fruit amid the prominent skins-derived tannins. Energetic and comfortable in its own skin."
