"All the grapes for the 2021 Ribeauvillé are from the hill between Bergheim and Ribeauvillé. The soils are heavier but have sandstone, marl, limestones and clay elements. It is a mix of Riesling, Pinot Blanc and Gris and Sylvaner with smaller additions of other varieties. The nose is still a little yeasty, but underneath, there is golden stone fruit edged with citrus. The palate is bone-dry and has all the verve and freshness of 2021 but also an inherent coolness with a compact, linear body." -Vinous
