Yes, Piedmont has Barolo, perhaps the most famous wine of Italy. And we've got lots of Barolo at our shop, both young and mature. But Piedmont also has an incredible wine-drinking culture. Go to its charming villages and you will find bars and restaurants filled with locals drinking quartinos and bottles filled with local grape varieties like Dolcetto and Barbera. Or drill down further: go to the village of Novello and discover Nascetta, a white wine variety not grown even one village over. Or go to Verduno and discover Pelaverga, a beautifully fragrant red wine grape that is, again, a hyper-local specialty.
There is so much to learn about -- and to drink! -- from what is sure one of the world's greatest wine regions.
