I came in looking for 1986 bottles because my nephew was born in 1986 and it's his birthday.

... I figured it would be a half a dozen bottles of vintage port from 1986. Flatiron didn't have any 86 ports, but they managed to find six bottles of an 1986 French fortified wine. We opened one at the birthday party. It was delicious.

I occasionally come in asking for weird stuff, and Flatiron always comes through.

And their education classes and tastings in their upstairs loft are both a good time, and good value for money.

My first experience, but it won't be my last. Excellent selection, pricing, and performance. Lightning-quick delivery of delicious and well-priced wines -- you can't beat that!

Ordering and working with the staff at Flatiron Wines is teriffic. Mike reviews my orders and makes recommendations so that I do not miss oput on discounts. They process the orders and have them delivered as quickly as possible. The delivery people make sure that the wines are hand delivered and signaled for correct storage.

This is my go-to wine shop in the city. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and kind. I never feel like they're trying to upsell me on anything - they listen to the wine profile you're looking for, and always have excellent recommendations. Their selection, especially of French wines, is excellent; I've discovered so many great producers through Flatiron that I probably wouldn't have access to elsewhere, especially in more niche regions like Jura, cru Beaujolais or Loire. Highly recommend!

We tried the Olga Raffault Rose of Cabernet Franc this weekend and unfortunately it was bitter without the typical freshness we experience with nicer roses. We will let the others sit for a few weeks to see if they are any better.
