"Bright, saturated ruby-red. Aromatic nose combines blackberry, blueberry and pipe tobacco. Sweet, lush and stuffed with fruit, but also youthful and vibrant. The high-pitched bitter cherry and dark berry flavors should deepen with bottle aging. Finishes very long, with fine tannins. The more I taste from this site, the more I feel that the Ciel du Cheval vineyard yields some of Washington State most powerfully fruity, complete wines from merlot and cabernet." -Stephen Tanzer
