"The 2014 Dolinsek Heritage, from a parcel first planted in 1910, is wonderfully vivid in the glass, with bright acidity that gives freshness and lift throughout. Succulent red cherry, plum, blood orange, rose petal and cinnamon are some of the many nuances that flesh out. The wine's plush, radiant personality is quite inviting today, but there is more than enough acidity to support a long life in the cellar. This is a very strong showing from the Dolinsek." -Vinous

"A big, rich mouthful of wine, the dark ruby/purple colored 2014 Dolinsek Ranch Heritage Proprietary Red is a blend of Zinfandel, Petit Sirah, Alicante Bouschet, Grand Noir, Teroldego, Syrah, Black Muscat and even Golden Chasselas. The vineyard was planted in 1910, no doubt by Italian immigrants, and they seemed to know what they were doing, obviously hedging their bets that some of these grapes would always turn out well no matter what the vineyard’s conditions were. Incredible aromatics jump from the glass, including blackberry, blueberry, spring flowers, pepper and spice." -Robert Parker
