From the heart of Wakayama—Japan’s most prized region for ume plums—comes this distinctive and decadent Nigori Umeshu from Kokonoe Saika Shuzo. Unlike most umeshu, which starts with neutral spirit, Saika uses junmai-style sake as its base and then blends in whole macerated ume plums. The final touch? A dose of nigori (unfiltered sake) that adds body, texture, and a creamy lift.
