"The 2001 Barolo Riserva Granbussia is gorgeous today. The bouquet is starting to show its age, with early signs of tertiary evolution that take shape in the glass. There is more than enough fruit to suggest the 2001 will drink well for another decade or so. Nothing in particular stands out, just the wine’s textural beauty and incomparable finesse. Rose petals, autumn leaves and sweet spices waft from the glass as the wine continues to freshen up over time. This is a terrific showing from one of the icons of Piedmont."

"Displays wonderful aromas of strawberry and Indian spices, with a hint of flowers. Full-bodied, with velvety tannins, a beautiful texture and excellent balance. Drinking really well now. One of the most balanced Granbussias yet."
