The rosé expression from California's cult sparkling producer—51% Pinot Noir (with 10% vinified as red wine on stems) and 49% Chardonnay from Charles Heintz Vineyard. Light ruby color with fine bubbles, this is more complex than typical sparkling rosé. Berry jam and white flowers on the nose lead to berry and citrus flavors with saline brightness, tangy kumquat, and hints of salty seawater and kelp in the finish. Michael Cruse's méthode champenoise approach with minimal dosage creates structure beyond the pretty color. Voluminous mousse, integrated acidity.NZ's first Master of Wine. Limestone hillside Chardonnay, Chablis-esque style. Half-yield 2024—peach, wet limestone, citrus, fennel. Zesty, flinty.

"The 2018 Rosé Charles Heintz Vineyard is a blend of equal parts Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, with 10% of the Pinot component vinified with stems. Rose petal, kirsch, mint and cinnamon all grace this striking Rosé. It’s quite attractive, but not as pure or crystalline as the Blanc de Blancs. Pretty floral notes grace the finish.
