Fuchs und Hase’s Pet Nat Vol. 1 2022 is a joyful, expressive sparkling wine that captures the essence of natural winemaking. From the very first sip, it’s clear that this wine is all about vibrancy and authenticity, with minimal intervention allowing the fruit and terroir to speak for themselves. The Pet Nat (Pétillant Naturel) style—bottled before fermentation is complete—gives this wine its lively bubbles and a refreshing, slightly cloudy appearance, creating a delightful sense of spontaneity.

Grown with care in the heart of an organic vineyard, this sparkling wine offers a refreshing departure from traditional sparkling methods. It’s made with a blend of grapes that showcase a balance of fruit and crisp acidity, creating a wine that is both bright and satisfying. Its natural fermentation brings out an intriguing mix of flavors—citrus, green apple, and a hint of fresh herbs—while the slight yeastiness from the fermentation adds complexity.

Fuchs und Hase Pet Nat Vol. 1 2022 is more than just a celebratory drink; it’s a fun, versatile wine that pairs beautifully with casual meals, charcuterie, or seafood, but it also shines on its own as an inviting, refreshing sipper. For those interested in the beauty of natural sparkling wines, this Pet Nat is a charming and approachable introduction to the world of organic, low-intervention wines.

What importer Bowler Wine has to say about this wine...

70% Müller Thurgau, 25% Grüner Veltliner, 5% skins of Sauvignon Blanc. Grown in Merschein and Loiserberg, cold, late ripening vineyard sites, mainly surrounded by forest.
