100% Gamay from 40-year-old vines grown on granite and glacial moraine. This description sounds a lot like Beaujolais, with which the Coteaux du Lyonnais AOC shares a border—but its other neighbor is the Rhône, the Clusel family's ancestral home. This very special expression of Gamay is aged for 12 months in 2- to 3-year-old barrels.
