What is this wine?
Pascal Agrapart is one of the leading grower-producers in Champagne, based in Avize and farming organically with a strong focus on terroir expression. 7 Crus is the domaine’s entry cuvée, a Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut made from Chardonnay sourced from seven villages—four Grand Crus (Avize, Oger, Cramant, Oiry) and three Premier Crus. The base of this release is the 2022 vintage, blended with reserve wines, and it was disgorged in 2025 after extended aging on lees.

Why get this wine?
7 Crus offers a gateway into Agrapart’s precise, mineral-driven style at a more accessible price than the domaine’s single-vineyard bottlings. Combining the purity of chalky Grand Cru sites with the freshness of Premier Crus, it delivers exceptional value in grower Champagne.

What does this wine taste like?
Bright and focused, with citrus, green apple, and pear fruit layered over chalky minerality. Subtle notes of almond and brioche emerge from lees aging. Extra Brut dosage keeps the wine crisp, taut, and refreshing.

When should you drink this wine?
Perfect as an aperitif or with oysters, sushi, or light seafood dishes. Delicious upon release, but will gain complexity over the next 3–5 years. Serve well chilled.

Professional Reviews

Robert Parker

RP 90
"The NV Brut 7 Crus, based on the 2022 vintage (50%) and complemented by reserve wines from 2021, blends the juices from the end pressing of all villages of the estate and includes 10% Pinot Noir from Avenay-val-d'Or. Disgorged in October 2024 with with a dosage of five grams per liter, it’s a wine with more a immediate personality, offering up aromas of peach, pear and bread dough. Ample and textural, it’s underpinned by succulent yet vibrant acidity. The one wine in range that can ever be described as simple, it is less coherent with the rest of the lineup, which exclusively derives from the Côte de Blancs." -Kristaps Karklins

Champagne

Champagne boasts some of the world’s greatest luxury brands with Krug, Cristal and, of course, Dom Perignon. But it’s also home to hundreds of small dynamic producers—farmers who grow their own grapes (often organically) and make (often with natural methods) tiny amounts of pure and absolutely delicious wine that reflect the individual personalities of their villages and terroirs. Toast with these wines, for sure. But also treat them like the great wines they are: taste, drink, explore!
