Looking for that pure, stony Loire Valley magic without paying Sancerre prices? Pellé’s Vignes de Ratier nails it.

Grown on classic Kimmeridgian limestone soils in the village of Morogues, this 2023 Menetou-Salon hums with bright citrus, green apple, chalky minerality, and a racy, mouthwatering finish. It’s Sauvignon Blanc stripped down to its essentials—no excess, no fluff—just pure energy and precision.

Pellé is a master at bringing elegance and texture without losing that vibrant, refreshing snap. Whether you’re a diehard Sancerre fan or just love crisp whites that can go from oysters to goat cheese to roast chicken without missing a beat, this is the kind of bottle you’ll want to have chilling at all times.

Perfect for: seafood spreads, fresh salads, spring vegetables, or just sipping something sharp, bright, and totally alive.

If you like fresh, mineral-driven white wine, you'll go bonkers for the wines of Paul-Henry Pellé. This guy is a star. Qualitatively, these wines can go tête-a-tête with top-shelf Sancerre, but they're a great deal less expensive. Farming is organic.
Pellé uses both stainless steel and wood, not only for élevage, but fermentation as well. This explains why the wines have bracing citric electricity tempered by a suave, creamy texture – "lemon curd" often pops up in our tasting notes.

Our collection celebrates the region’s great diversity, with the mineral-driven whites of Muscadet and Sancerre, the beautiful Chenin Blancs and Cabernet Francs from villages like Vouvray and Chinon, and natural wines from everywhere in the region. Sometimes wonderfully fresh and gulpable, sometimes serious and age-worthy, the prices are always very reasonable.
