Professional Reviews

Antonio Galloni

AG 93
"The 2008 Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Cuvée Nicole Vieilles Vignes hails from over 100-year-old vines in Les Chetillons. Rich and ample, this is an especially dense wine from Mesnil. Baked apple, dried flowers, chamomile, spice and tangerine peel all build in the glass. The 2008 is in a perfect spot for drinking today. The aromatics show the first signs of maturity, and yet the wine remains deep and quite powerful, surprisingly so." -Antonio Galloni

Champagne

Champagne boasts some of the world’s greatest luxury brands with Krug, Cristal and, of course, Dom Perignon. But it’s also home to hundreds of small dynamic producers—farmers who grow their own grapes (often organically) and make (often with natural methods) tiny amounts of pure and absolutely delicious wine that reflect the individual personalities of their villages and terroirs. Toast with these wines, for sure. But also treat them like the great wines they are: taste, drink, explore!
