Born from Nebbiolo fruit sourced equally from Barolo and Barbaresco appellations (hence the Langhe designation), this 2020 spent five years in old neutral casks—pure Roagna philosophy that lets the grape's intrinsic character shine without new oak interference. The result: a lithe, racy palate with crushed strawberry, red cherry, star anise, and the kind of fine-grained tannins that whisper rather than shout. Sweet floral overtones meld into a core of dried red cherry fruit, cedar, pipe tobacco, mint and crushed flowers. Deceptively light in body, the Langhe Rosso offers lovely tension and energy.
