A Graña represents a single-vineyard parcel (Finca A Graña in Sanxenxo) showcasing what a focused, microsite expression can achieve. The vines, 15-35 years old, grow in shallow sand soils over granodiorite bedrock—a geological statement reflected in the resulting wine. Organically farmed and hand-harvested, the fruit is pressed pneumatically without destemming into 75% chestnut barrel and 25% stainless steel, then aged nine months on lees with weekly batonnage (first three months). The wine is "incredibly intense Albariño, savory and complex" with "red apple skin flavors with slight phenolic grip and searing acid line." This is Rías Baixas wine at its most singular—a meditation on what a precise site and meticulous viticulture can express through Albariño.
