The Raventós family is the first family in Cava, quite literally. Generation after generation of the family has lived in Catalunya for hundreds of years, farming the earth and growing grapes. In the late 19th century, inspired by French winemakers of Champagne, Josep Maria Raventós made the first Cava, and thus, an entire industry was started.
