From the family that pioneered Meunier excellence in Champagne comes this radiant expression of grower artistry. Origines blends 70% Pinot Meunier with 30% Chardonnay to create a wine of textural roundness and fruit-forward joy—a departure from the austere Blanc de Blancs for which Côte des Blancs is famous. Minimal intervention winemaking in steel and concrete preserves every spark of the wine's character: bright citrus notes, white peach, a mineral underpinning, and a distinctive salinity that speaks to the chalky soils beneath. Extra Brut dosing (under 6g/L residual sugar) strips away pretense, leaving pure acidity and complexity. This is Champagne for those who believe bubbles should taste like themselves, not like oak or manipulation. A stunning aperitif, but even better alongside fresh oysters or white fish where its salinity sings.

Professional Reviews

Antonio Galloni

AG 88
"The NV Extra Brut Origines, a blend of 70% Meunier and 30% Chardonnay, is brisk, airy and nicely aromatic. This is one of the lighter wines in the range. There's certainly plenty of energy and vibrancy. This is another wine that is showing much better than it did last year. Dosage is 3 grams per liter." -Antonio Galloni

Champagne

Champagne boasts some of the world’s greatest luxury brands with Krug, Cristal and, of course, Dom Perignon. But it’s also home to hundreds of small dynamic producers—farmers who grow their own grapes (often organically) and make (often with natural methods) tiny amounts of pure and absolutely delicious wine that reflect the individual personalities of their villages and terroirs. Toast with these wines, for sure. But also treat them like the great wines they are: taste, drink, explore!
