Anne Boisson, part of the highly sought-after Boisson family in Meursault, crafts wines that showcase the precision and depth of this revered village. Les Clous Perrons is a standout Bourgogne Blanc, sourced from vineyards just outside Meursault proper, offering remarkable complexity and tension for its classification. The 2022 vintage, shaped by a warm but balanced growing season, delivers both richness and freshness, making for a beautifully expressive Chardonnay.

Golden apple, lemon curd, and white peach lead the nose, complemented by hints of crushed stone, toasted almond, and a whisper of flinty reduction. The palate is layered yet focused, with bright acidity and a chalky, mineral-driven backbone that recalls top Meursault terroirs. Unlike broader, more opulent white Burgundies, Les Clous Perrons leans into elegance and structure, making it a serious, age-worthy Bourgogne Blanc.

A perfect match for seafood, roasted poultry, or creamy pastas, this 2022 Bourgogne Blanc is drinking beautifully now but will develop even greater nuance over the next 5–7 years. A must-try for lovers of precise, terroir-driven Chardonnay.

Domaine Boisson-Vadot is a small estate that has been producing classic Meursault for about 200 years. The family holdings are under different ownership (per confusing French inheritance laws) hence the different label names (Pierre, Bernard and Anne). But everything is made at the estate, with Pierre doing much of the heavy lifting these days. Pierre is also known to compare notes and talk shop frequently with his school age buddy Raphael Coche.

There's no secret to the formula here. Just excellent vineyard management, mostly old vines and careful cellar work. The Boissons are very judicious with new oak and do little to no battonage during the long elevage. This results in clean, precise and beautifully transparent wines.

While Burgundy offers many great trophies from top producers in well-known villages like Vosne Romanee and Puligny Montrachet, it also offers excellent values to anyone willing to explore beyond the famous names. Our collection– one of the largest in the U.S. – has plenty of both!

From the very basics of Burgundy's regions and wines to the specific terroirs of individual single vineyards--
