Cristom Vineyards, known for producing some of Oregon’s finest Pinot Noir, sources fruit from their Eileen Vineyard in the Willamette Valley—a site renowned for its ideal growing conditions and unique terroir. The 2022 vintage of “Eileen” Pinot Noir is a standout, with a focus on balance, complexity, and the expression of the vineyard’s distinct character.

The wine opens with vibrant aromas of ripe cherry, raspberry, and subtle hints of rose petal and lavender. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with smooth, silky tannins that provide structure without being overpowering. There’s an elegant minerality beneath the fruit, adding depth and freshness, and the finish is long and harmonious with lingering red berry and spice notes.

Founder and owner Paul Gerrie has used his skills as an engineer and avid researcher to pursue his passion for wine. On his travels to France, he was introduced to and embraced the traditional growing practices of Burgundy which he now instills in his own wines. Use of whole cluster and native yeast fermentation allows for the fruit and land to truly express themselves and Cristom has also farmed sustainably since 1992.

"Eileen is at the top of the hill, staring out towards the Coast Range. This wine is a picture of elegance, and the turbulence from the Van Duzer Corridor moves through the clusters and vines. It's satiny, with spiced aromatics, wild herbs and bright tart cranberries. The site's higher acids lift the silky mouthfeel, it comes together beautifully. Blue fruits, wild spearmint and Chinese five spice frame an elegance of red berries and pine bough freshness. The finish shows a sweetness of berries and a note of green peppercorn."
