From some of the oldest vines in Gevrey (many over 100 years), Dugat-Py’s Cuvée Coeur de Roy is always a serious, structured Pinot Noir—and in a vintage like 2002, it finds perfect balance. The year brought elegance and freshness, and after two decades in bottle, this wine is now fully expressive, showing off the power of ancient vines with the finesse of slow evolution.

Expect black cherry, dried raspberry, and sous-bois layered with smoked tea, game, and earthy spice. The tannins have mellowed beautifully, but there's still a firm core and a long, mineral finish laced with savory complexity. This is not a wine for casual sipping—it’s contemplative, soulful Burgundy that demands attention. Decant gently and pair with game birds, duck, or wild mushroom dishes. A rare, mature bottle from one of Gevrey’s most uncompromising traditionalists.
