From a breezy, high-elevation site in the Eola-Amity Hills, Holloran’s La Chenaie Pinot Noir captures the finesse and structure that define this part of the Willamette Valley. The 2021 vintage offers striking balance—cool enough to preserve acidity and aromatics, warm enough for ripeness and depth. The result is a wine that feels layered but restrained, expressive without flash.

Expect a core of tart cherry and cranberry, framed by forest floor, dried rose, and subtle spice. The texture is lithe and silken, with fine tannins and a gentle mineral grip that lingers on the finish. It’s a quietly compelling Pinot—perfect for roast chicken, lentil stew, or mushroom dishes—but also the kind of bottle that speaks volumes all on its own. Thoughtful, site-driven Oregon Pinot at its best.

What importer Polaner Selections has to say about this wine...

Vineyard
La Chenaie Vineyard-Eola Amity Hills Located near Salem, Oregon, in the Eola-Amity Hills AVA, Le Chenaie is a 103 acre site with 18 acres producing, and 8 more in the process of being planted. Here we grow Pinot Noir, Riesling, and Tempranillo, all on resistant rootstocks. The rows are 6’ wide, so each acre contains between 1400 & 2200 plants. Planted beginning of 2001, the soils are volcanic - Jory, Gelderman and Ritner. Elevations are 460' to 585', with aspects of South, Southeast and Southwest. AVA is Eola-Amity Hills, so the site is influenced by the afternoon breezes from the Van Duzer corridor in the coastal range, as with much of the western portion of the Eola-Amity Hills.
