"A cascade of bright cherries, rosebuds, lavender and cedar spice waft up from the moodily perfumed 2019 Brunello di Montalcino. It is surprisingly juicy yet quite complex, with hints of zesty orange and vibrant acidity giving it tremendous energy, while crisp red fruits with clove flavours drench the senses. On the finish, the tannins are sweet and round, but not too hard. The 2019 finishes spicy and fresh, leaving notes of mint, violet and sweet herbal tea. Don't be fooled by its energy and accessibility; the 2019 holds a tremendous amount of power in reserve. This is an enchanting Brunello from Il Marroneto." -Vinous

A wine that sees a relatively short and hot fermentation, the Il Marroneto 2019 Brunello di Montalcino respects local winemaking tradition and remains true in spirit. The steep verticality of the bouquet evokes almost-carbonic or lifted aromas of bright cherry, strawberry shortcake, lilac and heritage rose. You get straight to the heart of Sangiovese. The 2019 Brunello di Montalcino from Il Marroneto has an incredible aroma: a seductive hint of aromatic cherry and fragrant violets. In the mouth, it is extremely precise, with a silky texture and sweet red fruits. It is intense, edgy and flavoursome, with a beguiling purity and finesse. Delicious.""
