"Christoffel's 2001 Riesling Spatlese Urziger Wurzgarten has a delicate nose, revealing primarily floral and perfume notes. On the palate, however, it is every bit as rich as the Erdener Treppchen. Assorted red fruits, honeysuckle, flint, and sweet minerals are found in this offering's considerable depth. A complete wine, it has laser-like focus and crystalline purity while being thick, dense, and expansive."
