Otronia, Patagonia Chardonnay Block III & VI, 2020
is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
This isn’t your typical Chardonnay. Otronia’s Block III & VI bottling comes from one of the southernmost vineyards on Earth, way down in Patagonia’s Chubut province—so yeah, we’re talking cold nights, high winds, and crazy-long daylight hours.
The result? A Chardonnay that’s super focused and mineral-driven, with green apple, citrus peel, and just a hint of smoke and flint. There’s texture, too—thanks to some time on lees and a bit of oak—but it’s all in balance. The 2020 vintage has tension and freshness to spare, like a cool breeze wrapped in ripe fruit.
Otronia is a new name on the map, but they’re making waves for a reason: biodynamic farming, precision winemaking, and one of the most extreme terroirs in the wine world. This is the kind of white that gives Burgundy lovers something new to geek out on.
Perfect with raw seafood, roasted vegetables, or just chilled in a big glass on a bright day. Think Chablis, but more rugged and windswept.
