Turley is best known for its powerhouse Zinfandels, but their Bechtoldt Vineyard Cinsault is something completely different—light, perfumed, and incredibly easy to drink. Sourced from the oldest Cinsault vines in the U.S. (planted in 1886 in Lodi), this wine is made with a delicate touch, highlighting the grape’s naturally fresh and floral character. The 2023 vintage is especially vibrant, with bright fruit and silky tannins making it perfect for early drinking.

Cranberry, wild strawberry, and raspberry burst from the glass, layered with rose petals, white pepper, and a hint of earth. The palate is light-bodied but expressive, with lively acidity and a soft, smooth texture. Serve it slightly chilled with charcuterie, roast chicken, or anything that calls for a red that’s as refreshing as it is complex. A serious wine that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
