Agricola Lisini, with vineyards high in the hills of southerly Sant' Angelo in Colle, was a founding member of the Brunello Consorzio and has never strayed from the traditional principles laid out in its charter. Fermentation in old glass-lined concrete, 18–24 days of maceration, aging in neutral Slavonian barrels, and bottling without filtration make for pure, unadulterated expressions of terroir. Lisini's high elevation and limestone soils not only set them apart from the rest of southern Montalcino but also give that added edge of freshness and verve that only the very best Brunello possess.
All of the estate's wines are pure, traditional and exceptional expressions of Sangiovese Grosso.

"A cherry and raspberry liqueur nose merges into supple and very round, indeed almost soft medium full flavors with enough concentration to coat the palate on the moderately long finish. This is classy, stylish and delicious but so forward that it will be approachable very early."

"Silky, with sweet herb, tomato, dried cherry and licorice notes in an elegant style. Turns more tannic on the finish, then ends with some sweetness. Needs another year or two to integrate."

"Ripe and fresh, this impresses more by the purity of its fruit than by its structure. This suggests that it will age quickly, confiremd by the soft tannins, strawberry fruit flavors and the balancing acidity."
