This very refreshing Gavi tastes more of the Ligurian coast than most Gavis I have tasted. The wine is lean, lemony, minerally, and a bit salty—reminds me of Verdicchio even though it is not a coastal wine. Perhaps with time in the cellar/fridge more complex fruit flavors would emerge. Works well as an aperitif and, I imagine, with fish like poached orata.
