"The 2020 Barolo Brunate is the most potent and inward of the 2020 Barolos in this tasting. Dark fruit, menthol, licorice, spice, cedar and pipe tobacco struggle to emerge. Brunate is the smallest production Barolo at Oddero and is therefore aged in a smaller cask—this feels a bit constricted by the wood influence." -Vinous

Vineyard
Sourced from their .43 hectare parcel of Brunate in La Morra.
Soil
Blue-gray marl rich in manganese. These clays are mixed with very fine sand and limestone also known as Marne di Sant'Agata.
Viticulture
Hand-harvested from 50-60 year old vines in the beginning of October.
Vinification
Fermentation with maceration in stainless steel for about 25 days.
Aging
Aged in 20HL casks of neutral, french oak for about thirty months.
