What importer Skurnik Wines has to say about this wine...
The SCHLOSS GOBELSBURG VINTAGE is only produced in special years. The bottles remain on the lees for at least 10 years before they are riddled by hand and disgorged. This sparkling is produced from three varieties (Pinot Noir, Riesling, Grüner Veltliner) selected from different sites of the estate. Grapes from Heiligenstein, Gaisberg, Grub and Lamm are harvested at the right moment, laid in small boxes and are immediately pressed. After six months of élevage in cask, it is bottled. It then rests for about three years on the lees until it is hand riddled and then disgorged.cépage Pinot Noir, Grüner Veltliner, Rieslingvintage 2008village/vyd various, mainly with primary rock soils (perm, loess, gneiss)malo Yesélevage Stainless steel fermentation, aging in 25hl Manhartsberg Oaksur latte 120+ months
