Carmelo Patti is a boutique winery in Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza, founded in 1989 by Carmelo Patti. Born in Sicily and emigrating to Argentina as an infant, Patti trained at Escuela Técnica Pouget in Mendoza. He began his extended-aging wine project in 1986, becoming a catalyst for the rebirth of fine wine production in Mendoza when aging culture was uncommon. He sources exclusively from Perdriel, a recognized quality zone. Production is approximately 20,000 liters per year from this "garage winery" operation. His first Malbec was released in 1990. Known for traditionally aged reds with extended cellaring.

Patti's pure Malbec is made simply and traditionally in Luján de Cuyo within Mendoza. Fermented with native yeast and aged in concrete for 12 months, then moved to French Oak (mostly used) for 12 additional months. Unfined and unfiltered.Arguably the best example of “traditional style” Malbec one can find in Argentina.
