Maria Teresa Mascarello continues her father's uncompromising approach: long maceration, large Slavonian oak, no barrique, no compromise. The iconic hand-painted labels proclaim "No Barrique, No Berlusconi"—a statement of aesthetic and political principles. The 2008 vintage was cool and elegant, producing wines of finesse rather than power. Now beautifully mature, this is Barolo as it was made for generations. Decant 2 hours before serving.
