Domaine de Cassiopée is part of Burgundy’s new generation of small, thoughtful producers, and their 2022 Bourgogne Rouge “En Gerlieus” is a perfect introduction to their style: clean, bright, and full of life. Sourced from a single parcel near Nantoux, just west of Pommard, this wine is unfussy in the best way—pure, high-toned Pinot with energy and soul.

The 2022 vintage brings sunny fruit with freshness to match. Expect wild strawberry, raspberry, crushed rose petals, and a hint of forest floor, backed by subtle spice and soft tannins. It’s light- to medium-bodied, with a lifted, mineral finish that gives it quiet structure.

Farming is organic, winemaking is low-intervention—native yeasts, gentle extraction, and aging in older barrels—so what you get is pure site expression without oak or polish getting in the way.

Perfect slightly chilled with roast chicken, charcuterie, or veggie-forward dishes. It’s the kind of bottle that turns casual dinners into something a little more special.

Focus On: Burgundy

Burgundy has long been the world's most famous wine region. But, underneath all the prestige, this region can be hard to get to know.

While Burgundy offers many great trophies from top producers in well-known villages like Vosne Romanee and Puligny Montrachet, it also offers excellent values to anyone willing to explore beyond the famous names. Our collection– one of the largest in the U.S. – has plenty of both!

From the very basics of Burgundy's regions and wines to the specific terroirs of individual single vineyards--
everything you need to know about Bourgogne is just a click away!
